In your own body — the adrenals produce corticosteroid hormones that regulate the balance of salt and water, stress response, metabolism, immune function, and sexual development and function. They are important to keep healthy! When you are feeling low on energy, have been ill and are recovering, or simply want to maintain your resilience, work with these points on yourself! The ‘one inch to the side and one inch up’ refers to adults and the positioning will be less than an inch for children…you might use the index finer, middle finger and thumb together for the gentle massage – thus ‘covering more ground’.
You can also work with ‘cortisol points’, which are located once inch to the side and one inch down from the navel.
How long? Try it for 3 minutes on each side, once or twice a day, and see how you feel.
