If you find this difficult, then you may want to consider taking a class in Mindfulness Meditation. I studied meditation myself in the 70’s and 80’s. I did ok with it and even taught it to patient populations. However, when I took classes, I found a depth I’d not found before, as well as a gentle method to address personal issues. I thought I’d resolved some of them, but here they came – presenting themselves during my meditations. I learned to “sit with them”, to re-examine them, and to let them go. Mindfulness Meditation is a powerful way to meet yourself, your ‘faults’, and your strengths and know yourself at your core level of being.
Yes, I teach Mindfulness Meditation, via ZOOM and in-person and I’d love to teach you. There are also many teachers and perhaps you can find one near you. It really works to bring calm to our personal storms, enhancing happiness, contentment, self-compassion, and resilience.
